Incumbent board members face no challengers

Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative customers at three locations across the power provider’s service territory gathered this week for meetings to nominate candidates for the Blue Ridge board of directors.  In each instance, the incumbent whose name was entered into nomination emerged without any challenge.  It means that Joel Davis of Oconee, Spencer Dalton of Pickens, and Kenneth Southerlin of Greenville-Spartanburg will have their names placed before the entire membership during a two-day annual meeting to take place April 27 and 28.  Terry Ballenger, Blue Ridge spokesman, acknowledged that it is rare for every incumbent to go thru the re-nomination process without being challenged by a fellow member.
