In final life’s moments, man stood in middle of I-85

In an early Wednesday morning accident, a man stood in incoming traffic on I-85 in northeast Georgia.  Before deputies could make contact with him, the man was hit by one vehicle and then others.  The Franklin County coroner, Scott O’Barr, said the man killed was 33-year old Kody Ross Nease, address unknown.  WLHR Lake Hartwell Radio quoted the coroner as saying following vehicles hit Nease “due to the low-light situation” in front of northbound traffic around 5 o’clock Wednesday morning.  Both northbound lanes of 85 northbound from exits 166 to 173 were closed about four hours.  The coroner said they were still trying to determine why Nease stood in the middle of the interstate.
