In a crisis, there’s always prayer

Plans are coming together for a community prayer service Sunday evening in Seneca. Beaverdam Baptist Association is calling it a “Night of Lights.” The evening will take place at the Norton-Thompson Park and start at 6 o’clock. Everyone attending is asked to remain in their cars with windows up throughout the service and tune to 91.7 FM to hear the service. For those not attending, the service will be aired live by 101.7/WGOG. For the staff and employees of Oconee Memorial Hospital, It’s hoped that the lervice will go live on the Facebook page of the Beaverdam association. The community prayer service has the following prayer objectives: to pray to God to heal the land physically and spiritually, prayer for the cities, county, state and nation, prayer for healthcare workers, prayer for pastors and churches that are navigating unprecedented times; prayer for elected officials; law enforcement and military; for school administrators, teachers, and students.
