Important Lakeside Lodge meeting tomorrow

A meeting tomorrow morning could be pivotal in whether Oconee is able to save the Lakeside Lodge condo project from annexing to Clemson. County officials are meeting with the developers tomorrow. And Councilman Julian Davis, who will be one of the participants, says the biggest issue will be the incentives the county can offer to save the 7-acre lot in the Hartwell Village Shopping Center. The fear among many Oconeeans is that should Clemson annex the condo property, the Pickens County city will be in good position to annex other parts of the shopping center and, perhaps, other parts of Oconee County in that area.
