“I don’t like to drive down there (to Clemson) much anymore”

If someone can come up with a foolproof solution to increasing traffic congestion on 123 approaching Clemson from Oconee County, he likely might earn the title of hero. Because, right now, the best minds on the Oconee side of the Seneca River haven’t arrived at the solution if there, in fact, is one. But that hasn’t stopped the county Planning Commission from trying. The planning commissioners this week advanced a professionally-done corridor plan to the county council for suggestions. At the start of their Monday meeting, former commissioner Brad Kisker seemed to suggest that the safety and traffic problems are such that they need to create a special group to figure out what to do. “I don’t like to drive down there much anymore,” he said.
