HUBERT SMITH
West Union– Hubert Jason Smith, 79, beloved husband, of the late Edna Gentry Smith, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on Saturday, September 16th, 2023 at Foothills Assisted Living, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in the Madison Community of Westminster, SC, Hubert was the son of the late Issac John Smith and Norma Hare Smith. Hubert retired from Phillips Fibers after 26 years of employment and then from BASF, was of the Baptist Faith and he enjoyed hunting. Hubert is the last surviving member of his family.
Hubert is survived by his sons, Rick Smith (Crystel) of Seneca and Rodney Smith of Westminster; grandchildren, Phillip R. Smith, Alison N. Barker, Coleman I. Smith, Carson G. Smith, Brianna P. Miller; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and family from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., prior to the service, at Sandifer Funeral Home.
