Hospital annexation talk revived

No action was taken after a closed-door meeting last night of a board of the Oconee Memorial Hospital as to the possibility of once again pursuing annexation by the city of Seneca. Hunter Kome, hospital COO, says by the end of the meeting there was not a quorum of members present to take action. 101.7/WGOG NEWS has learned the idea of the hospital becoming a part of the corporate limits is being revived, with the idea that there are savings to be realized by the hospital by taking advantage of lower water and sewer rates available to in-city customers.
