Homicide called isolated incident

A late night homicide in Seneca.  Coroner Karl Addis says a fatal shot was fired late last night that took the life of a 21-year-old Greenville man at the south of the railroad track apartments on Laing Court known as Seneca Gardens.  Once his family is told, the victim’s name will be released.  The city police are investigating.  Chief Bowling released the following statement:  “….at approximately 10 o’clock last night, we received a phone call in reference to a shooting in the area of Laing Court in Seneca.  Officers arrived on scene and found a white male with a gunshot wounded inside a vehicle.  Officers rendered aid until EMS arrived.  The victim passed away at the scene.  Coroner Addis arrived on scene and will handle all identification of the deceased.  This was an isolated incident between two individuals.  We do not have anyone in custody at this time.  Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Seneca PD at 885-2718.”
