Home invasion near Seneca’s S. Walnut

The police in Seneca say two persons, with thievery on their minds, entered a home firing shots near S. Walnut Street. They were there, according to Chief John Covington, to try to open a safe and to steal cell phones. The crime occurred around 6 o’clock yesterday morning at 314 Woodland Drive. The investigation led the police to a S. Townville Street home where they recovered the stolen phones. One of the suspects has been identified as Elisa Reid Busby, 18 years old. A second suspect is a 16-year old boy who was sent to a juvenile detention center. The two have been charged with burglary first degree, armed robbery, kidnapping, safecracking, and possession of a firearm during a violent crime.
