Herman Dewitt Pinion, “HD”

Seneca, SC– Herman DeWitt Pinion “HD”, 77, husband of Betty Pinion of 305 Wrangler Way, Seneca passed away on Wednesday, August 25th, 2021 at Cottingham Hospice House.

A native of Seneca, Mr. Pinion was the son of late Hortense and Arvil Rochester and his brothers Charlie Rochester and the late Charles V Pinion. He worked at Michelin for 25 years as Maintenance Manager and then later started his own company specializing in land development and grading.

Mr. Pinion is survived by his daughter,
Angie Kelley and husband Glen of Lawrenceville, Georgia, his son, Chuck, and his wife Andrea Pinion of Seneca. He also has 4 granddaughters, Amanda and husband Nick Chandler of Greer, Taylor and Amanda Kelley of Greer, Kayla and husband Michael Durham of Seneca, and Abby Pinion of Seneca. He has 2 great-grandchildren, Addilyn Durham and Caden Chandler.

A Memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 28th, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church, 4010 Keowee School Road, Seneca SC 29672 with Pastor Brett Turner presiding. The family will receive friends proceeding the memorial service at the church. He was a long-time member of New Hope Baptist and of the Keowee community.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the New Hope Baptist building fund.
