Heat was factor in park medical emergency

Taking recreation at Walhalla’s Stumphouse Tunnel Park and the nearby Issaquena Falls is a popular year-round activity.  But yesterday’s 90-degree temperature is believed to have been a factor for one visitor who required a medical emergency response.  According to Lt. Will Bates of Walhalla Fire Department, public safety responders went to the observation deck at Issaqueena Falls to help a visitor who apparently became over-heated.  All turned out well, according to Bates.  The patient received assistance and medical attention at the scene and declined a trip to the hospital.
