Hearing tomorrow focuses on Seneca Kellett property

The specific focus of a hearing tomorrow at the Seneca City Hall will be what the city eventually does with the former Kellett school building and property south of the railroad tracks. The city is conducting a hearing to gather public opinion. “We’re conducting a needs assessment public hearing,” says Scott Moulder, administrator. “This is a procedural requirement for applications with the CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) grant process to discuss some of the needs surrounding the old Kellett School property.” Seneca has submitted a “pre-application” for $500 thousand to demolish the building and convert the property to a passive green space for recreation. The hearing will start at 5 o’clock.
