Haycinth Black Gibson

 

Seneca – Hyacinth Elaine Black Gibson, 93, wife of the late Brady Gibson, of 1311 Shiloh Road, passed away, February 20,2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

 

Born in Oconee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Issac Bennett Black and Frances Louvennie Bryant Black. Hyacinth was formerly employed at Defore Plant, Clemson, SC and retired after 39 years of service. Hyacinth attended Mt. Vernon Holiness Church, and enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family.

 

Hyacinth is survived by a son, Donnie Ray Gibson of Pelzer; a daughter, Toni Ruth Gibson of Seneca; and a sister, Janelle Nickles; twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to her parents, Hyacinth is preceded in death her sons, Brady Wayne Gibson and David Herman Gibson; brothers, Swain Black, Void Black, John Black, and Ray Black; and sisters, Minnie Heaton, Lucille Nix and Earlene Boggs.

 

A Funeral Service will be held 3pm, Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park with the Reverends Dennis Smith, Mitchell Stephens and Eddie Hamilton officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm – 8:00pm, Monday, February 22nd, 2021 at Sandifer Funeral Home.
