Harry McAlister

 

West Union – James Robert “Harry” McAlister Jr., 56, passed away January 15^th, 2023 at his residence.

 

Born in Oconee, SC, he was the son of the late James Robert “POP” McAlister and Kathy Duncan McAlister. Harry was a mechanic with the State of South Carolina, member of the Keowee Ebeneezer Fire Department and of the Baptist Faith.  Harry was an avid outdoorsman, who especially enjoyed deer hunting.

 

Harry is survived by his son, Michael McAlister (Pam); daughter, Samantha Hampton (Andy); brothers, Timmy McAlister (Pam), Tony McAlister (Sue), and Bobby Joe McAlister (Candace); and grandchildren, Jordyn Hampton and Kendra McAlister.  

 

Harry is preceded in death by his parents.

 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:30 pm Friday, January 20, 2023 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends and family from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
