Guidelines key to re-opening, says Evette

Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette believes that today’s lift of the “Work or Stay Home” order is one relaxation that South Carolinians can rely on seeing almost daily, as the state begins to act on its own to start to re-open the economy. Evette is personally pleased that permission to dine at restaurants with outside facilities is pleasing because she looks forward to lunch or dinner at one of her favorite places. She admits, however, that not all South Carolina restaurants are capable of offering outdoor dining, in addition to curbside or drive-thru service. Speaking on an Oconee Chamber of Commerce news program, Evette said South Carolinians have been “great” in trying to obey the social distancing recommendation of six feet apart, but state residents need to be diligent in following all recommendations to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
