Graham to offer his U-S MADE Act

Senator Lindsey Graham announces that next week he will formally introduce his U-S MADE legislation, and he’s hopeful that it will be made part of any Phase IV relief package that comes before the congress.  The South Carolina Republican from Oconee wants the U-S to become less dependent on China for COVID-19 equipment for frontline medical personnel.  Graham believes that South Carolina, with its history of in textiles and advanced manufacturing, could play a leading role in helping the U-S become less dependent on China for critical medical equipment.  If the bill reaches his desk, President Trump would have the authority to immediately implement the ‘Buy America’ provisions of the legislation.
