Graham not worried about next election
In spite of a poll that reported his popularity sinking, Lindsey Graham says he’s not all worried about holding onto his Senate seat. The U-S senator on a visit to his home Oconee County today did not hesitate when asked if he’ll run for another term in office. “Absolutely,” was his reply when asked by 101.7/WGOG NEWS. Graham was an overwhelming winner in 2014 to his current six-year term and doesn’t have to worry about running again until 2020. He said rather than worry for himself, he’s worried for the U-S and his Republican party. As for the world, Graham said he fears that another 9-11 will take place in the U-S unless ISIL is defeated or contained—-which he believes the Democratic Obama administration has failed to do. As for his party and his well known misgivings about Presidential nominee Donald Trump, Graham said he had a conversation with Trump representatives and promised to work for Trump’s election. But he also said that, as a senator, he will work with whoever is elected, Trump or Democrat Hillary Clinton, to defeat America’s enemies.
