Golfer claims he fell, broke hip, and blames course

An Oconee golfer says his round on the links was cut short by tripping and falling over a metal stake as he was leaving a tee box at the Foxwood Hills Country Club. A lawsuit for Calvin Hyde alleges that on November 8, 2016 Hyde tripped and fell over an unmarked metal stake that was extended above the ground 4 to 5 inches and suffered injuries that included a broken right hip, an injured right knee, and shoulder. The lawsuit alleges negligence on the part of the golf course and seeks damages in excess of $100 thousand. A jury trial is requested in the Common Pleas Court.
