Gladys Ann McCall Thrift

 

 

Walhalla, SC — Gladys Ann McCall Thrift, 93, wife of the late Dewey Dillard Thrift, Jr., of Walhalla, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Cottingham Hospice House.

 

A native of Walhalla, SC, Mrs. Thrift was the daughter of the late Broadus and Mary Williams McCall. She retired from Edwards Auto Sales after 55 years as the office manager and was a member of College Street Baptist Church, the Joy Sunday School Class, and Women’s Prayer Group. Mrs. Thrift was also a former Children’s Sunday School teacher, nursery worker, and choir member.

 

Mrs. Thrift is survived by her son: Mike Thrift (Susan) of Walhalla; brothers: Bob McCall (Joyce) of Seneca, Gene McCall (Barbara) of Walhalla, and Rick McCall (Brenda) of Seneca; sister: Patsy Moody of Walhalla; granddaughter: Leigh Ann Thomas (Chad) of West Union; three great-grandchildren: Elizabeth McCracken (Travis) of Walhalla, Hannah Johns (Wren) of West Union, and Knox Thomas of West Union; three great-great granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Oconee Memorial Park.

 

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM, Tuesday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home.
