Gladiola Patterson

Salem – Gladiola Cannon Patterson, 69, wife of Jack Patterson of 276 Bennettsville Road, passed away on Wednesday July 14th, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

 

Gladiola was born in Oconee County, and was the daughter of the late Lee Wesley Cannon and Bessie Whitmire Cannon Bowen.  Gladiola formerly worked at Oconee Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping department and was an avid gardener. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, and was of the Seventh Day Adventist Faith.

 

Gladiola is survived by her husband, Jack Patterson; son, Russell Patterson and wife Debbie; daughters, Pam Alexander and husband Michael, and Annette Phillips and husband Scott; brothers, Charles Raburn Cannon and wife Linda; sister, Patricia Reid and husband Mark; sister in-law, Ella Mae Cannon; five grandchildren, Shannon Lusk, Vica Phillips, Shay Phillips, Russell Alexander and Joey Alexander.

 

In addition to her parents, Gladiola is preceded in death by brothers, Lee Roy Cannon, Doyle Arthur Cannon.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
