Getting the word out to those in need of it

How well Walhalla gets out the word when something is wrong with its water service was a topic when city council held committee meetings last night at city hall.  Celia Myers, city administrator, says she has confidence in the strides made to alert customers affected by a water line break.  She stressed the importance of customers leaving correct phone numbers so that city hall staff can enter them in an automatic alert system – one feature of which are text messages.
