Getting down to business to find the next county administrator

Two special Oconee County Council meetings have been announced for the next two weeks for business related to the search for the next county administrator. The first will be this Friday morning and the second the morning of Monday, October 8. At each, the business is the same: “Discuss employment matter, and receive legal advice as necessary, related to hiring of County Administrator, including candidate interviews.” Both meetings start at 9:30 am and are scheduled as executive sessions. Last week the council decided to grant interviews to five candidates, not identified by name.
