Georgia stores raided in search for Schedule 1 narcotics

Three convenience stores were raided recently in Stephens County, Georgia, according to Sheriff Randy Shirley.  Officers were looking for Schedule 1 drugs that have no accepted medical use and high potential for abuse.  Toccoa Radio WNEG reports officers seized products containing Delta 9 THC, the main ingredient for marijuana, along with more than $70 thousand cash from the stores. Arrest warrants were issued for the store owners.  Sheriff Randy Shirley says as far back as two years ago, two of his officers went to every store in Toccoa and Stephens County that were selling vapes and vape products and warned owners and employees about the sale and distribution of THC vapes and gummy-type edibles.
