Georgia sheriff places Oconee on his thank you list

The sheriff in Stephens County, Georgia expresses gratitude to those who supported emergency and law enforcement personnel who worked the New Year’s holidays in a search for the driver of a pickup truck that plunged into Lake Hartwell. Oconee is on the Sheriff Randy Shirley’s list. The Stephens County Command Center was submerged by mud, but Oconee responded with its command center. Shirley also thanked the Oconee County dive team for its response when it was thought that there were others, aside from the driver, who were inside the truck.
