No. 1 Georgia will be without their No. 1 weapon for the foreseeable future. Brock Bowers will have surgery on his injured left ankle Monday, the school announced, after the star tight end left Saturday’s 37-20 win against Vanderbilt in the first half with a high ankle sprain.  In a statement, the school said a full recovery is anticipated, but an exact timeline of Bowers’ return is unclear. ESPN reported that Bowers is expected to undergo TightRope surgery, which involves using surgical thread instead of metal screws and is designed to accelerate recovery.  The typical recovery time for a TightRope surgical procedure is four-to-six weeks, which could put Bowers back on the field for the final weeks of the regular season, if his recovery is on the fast end of the timeline.
