GENE POPE

Seneca – Gene Percy Pope, 100, husband of the late Phyllis Naomi Campbell Pope, passed away on Monday, March 11^th, 2024, at his residence.

 

Born June 5^th, 1923, in Battiest, Oklahoma, Gene was the son of the late Carby Holt and Iva Patterson Pope. Gene was a United States Army Veteran, who was the business owner of Allmetals Welding Manufacturing and a member of Seneca Church of God of Prophecy.

 

Gene is survived by his son, Daniel Pope, and wife Kay of Seneca; daughter, Dianne Lanceley, and husband Mike of Seneca; daughter-in-law, Barbara Pope; nine grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.

 

Gene is preceded in death by his parents and his wife; a son, Gary Lee Pope; brothers, Reg Pope, Cecil Pope, and Arthur Pope; and a sister, LaFaun Jones.   

 

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:30 pm, Monday, March 18^th, 2024 at Oconee Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Full Military Honors. The Family will receive friends, prior to the service, 3:00 pm – 3:30 pm, Monday, March 18^th, 2024, at Oconee Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
