GENE POPE

Seneca – Gene Percy Pope, 100, husband of the late Phyllis Naomi Campbell Pope, passed away on Monday, March 11th, 2024, at his residence.

 

Born June 5th, 1923, in Battiest, Oklahoma, Gene was the son of the late Carby Holt and Iva Patterson Pope. Gene was a United States Army Veteran, who was the business owner of Allmetals Welding Manufacturing and a member of Seneca Church of God of Prophecy.

 

Gene is survived by his son, Daniel Pope, and wife Kay of Seneca; daughter, Dianne Lanceley, and husband Mike of Seneca; daughter-in-law, Barbara Pope; nine grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.

 

Gene is preceded in death by his parents and his wife; a son, Gary Lee Pope; brothers, Reg Pope, Cecil Pope, and Arthur Pope; and a sister, LaFaun Jones.   

 

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:30 pm, Monday, March 18th, 2024 at Oconee Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Full Military Honors. The Family will receive friends, prior to the service, 3:00 pm – 3:30 pm, Monday, March 18th, 2024, at Oconee Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
