Gasoline brand name change

Representatives of the Kent Company, the Texas company that owns the Bountyland Quik Stops, are making application in Oconee County for sign changes, and there’s word this morning that the Bountyland stores are switching from Exxon to Texaco, effective next week.  A Walhalla City Council vote last night approved a monument sign and overlay at the city’s Bountyland location at 235 E. Main Street.  And scheduled before the county board of appeals next week are five separation sign variance applications at the following Bountyland locations: Blue Ridge Boulevard, Wells Highway, Clemson Boulevard, W. Cherry Road, and S. Highway 11, Fair Play.  The hearings take place at 6 o’clock Monday night in county council chambers.
