Gail Nicholson

Walhalla – Glenda Gail Nicholson, 79, wife of Rev. Olin Dee Nicholson, passed away on Tuesday, March 19^th, 2024 at Prisma Cottingham Hospice House.

 

Born June 23^rd, 1944, in Salem, South Carolina, Gail was the daughter of the late Redmond and Annie Kelley. Gail was retired from Avondale where she worked as an operator, she greatly enjoyed quilting, enjoyed watching birds, singing, and playing the piano and spending time with her family.

 

Gail is survived by her beloved husband of 63 ½ years of marriage, Rev. Olin Dee Nicholson; son, Barry Nicholson (Terrie), Shelby Roach (Phil), Libby Sims; brothers, Colin Kelley, Steve Kelley, Eddie Kelley; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and son-in law, Jim West.

 

Gail is preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie West, and infant daughters, Susan and Lynn Nicholson; brothers, Charles Kelley, Ray Kelley, Larry Kelley, Virgil Kelley; and a sister, Judy Hester.

 

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 24^th, 2024 at Sandifer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 24^th, 2024.
