Free COVID-19 clinic next week in Salem

The NEXT School is gearing up for the new academic year by staging COVID-19 vaccine clinics starting next week at its Salem campus.  Partnering with Walgreen, the charter school will host two free, on-campus clinics to support vaccination efforts and protect students, families, staff, and local communities.  The clinics are open to the public, and community participation is encouraged.  The first clinic offering the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and flu shot will be 12 noon to 6:30 pm at the Salem campus, at 4 Eagle Lane.  Second dose shots will be available Monday, August 23.  The second clinic will be September 9 at the NEXT campus on Greenville’s Wade Hampton Boulevard.  At both locations, walk-ins are accepted with registration on site, so no appointment is needed.  For ages 12 and older, the FDA has authorized the Pfizer vaccine.  A parent or guardian must be present with 12 to 17 year olds, unless they have signed the form in advance and the students bring the consent form to the clinic. clinics
