Freddy Emerson
Seneca – Freddy Lee Emerson, 94, husband of the late, Glen Edna Swafford Emerson, passed away Thursday, January 14th, 2021 at Prisma Health Cottingham Hospice House.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Fidel and Olia Emerson. Mr. Emerson was retired from West Point-Pepperell/JP Stevens after 46 years of service, and was a United States Army Veteran having served during World War II.
He is survived by sons, Greg Emerson, Bryan Emerson both of Seneca; three grandchildren, BJ, Eric, and Cory Emerson, and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, and wife, Glen Edna Swafford Emerson, he is preceded in death by a son, Troy Emerson; daughter, Elaine Emerson; grandson, Mark Emerson, and daughter in law, Becky Emerson.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Monday, January 18th, 2021 from the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park with Full Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, Monday, January 18th, 2021 at Sandifer Funeral Home prior to the service.
