Frankie Veronee

Formerly of Westminster – Frankie Ruth Kelly Veronee, 95, wife of the late John Howard Veronee, passed away peacefully, February 28th, 2024 at her home.

Born on August 21st, 1928, in Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late George Domer and Della Iola Rogers Kelley. Frankie worked, for many years, as a warehouse manager at Maxfli, was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and was a long-time member of Westminster Baptist Church. Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed nothing more than the time she spent with them, especially the last few years living in Fort Mill. Frankie was an avid gardener with the greenest of thumbs. She had many dogs over her lifetime, and each one was a very important part of her family. She spoke of them often.  She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Frankie is survived by daughter, Susan Veronee Breazeale and husband, Jim of Fort Mill; son, Brent Howard Veronee and wife, Vickie of Westminster, and by daughter Paula Whitfield of Simpsonville; grandchildren, Callie B. Long (Stan), Jon Ryan Breazeale, Blaire Veronee Hall (Justin), Bailee Veronee Leighton (Bryan), Brent Veronee, Jr, Kylie Davis (Robbie); great grandchildren, Campbell Long, Tate Long, Mason Breazeale, Carolina Leighton, Carter Leighton, Cole Leighton, Claire Leighton, Saylor Hall, Hudson Hall, one on the way, Brayden Whitfield, Hunter Davis, and Rex Davis.

In addition to her parents and husband, Frankie is preceded in death by her brother, Julius Franklin Kelly; sisters, Dorothy Cashin, Katheleen Padgett and Gloris Kelly Gillespie.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Oconee Memorial Park.
