Frances Marion Johnson Lusk

Salem, SC — Frances Marion Johnson Lusk, 91, wife of Ralph Edward Lusk for over 72 years, of Salem, passed away October 7, 2021, at her home.

 

A native of Boone’s Creek, SC, Mrs. Lusk was the daughter of the late Lawrence Sylvester and Thelma Florine Fowler Johnson. She attended Salem First Baptist Church and was a seamstress and doll creator.

 

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lusk is survived by her sons: Randy Lusk (Kathy) of Walhalla, SC and Wendell Lusk (Dianne) of Walhalla, SC; daughters: Diane Whitmire (Tim) of Tamassee, SC, Sherrie McJunkin (Mark) of Westminster, SC and Sandra McCurry (Troy) of West Union, SC; sisters: Joey Queen of Mountain Rest, SC and Geraldine Raines of Dacusville, SC; five grandchildren: Ben Whitmire, Brock Lusk, Travis McCurry, Scott McCurry and Taylor Lusk; great-grandchildren: Aeryn Whitmire, William Whitmire, Annabelle Lusk, Harrison Lusk, Tyler McCurry and Adaline McCurry; and special nephews: Jerry Harper and Wayne Johnson.

 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lusk was preceded in death by her siblings: Willie Johnson, Harvie “Bud” Johnson, Minnie Cantrell and Christine Harper, Janie Mae Smith and Ruby Lee Burton.

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Davenport Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park.

 

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Tuesday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home.
