Frances Helen Mobley

Westminster – Frances Helen Reid Mobley, 84, wife of the late Charlie Benson Mobley, was promoted to Glory, Wednesday, March 17th, 2021 at Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital.

 

Frances was born in Anderson, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Guy William Reid and Eula Maude Turpin Cheek. Frances enjoyed sewing and collecting and she was a home league secretary for the Salvation Army Church where she was a member for over 50 years.

 

Survivors include her sons, Guy Mobley (Rhonda) of Westminster, Tony Mobley (Thomas Blackwell) of Walhalla; her daughters, Teresa Jane Fulton (Randall) of Westminster, April Joy Mobley of Westminster, Beverly Ann James (Keith) of Westminster, and Juanita Lynn Mobley of Westminster; son in- law, Roger Cobb; sixteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

 

She is the last surviving member of her immediate family, in addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughters, Barbara Gail Cobb and Dr. Patricia Mobley Childers; and a granddaughter, Diana Elizabeth Thompson.

 

A funeral service will be held 11:00, Friday, March 19th, 2021 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to take place following Friday, March 26th, 2021 at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 18th, 2021 at Sandifer Funeral Home. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and concerns for the health of family and friends, France’s family ask that all who attend the service please wear face masks and practice social distancing.
