Four Public Service Commission seats available

Do you have what it takes to evaluate the utility and telecommunication issues of South Carolina? If so, and you are interested, South Carolina is looking for applicants for four seats on the Public Service Commission. According to State Senator Thomas Alexander, the job is full-time and offers an annual salary of $129 thousand. The available seats include the one for the Third District, which takes in Oconee, Anderson, and Pickens among other counties. The current District Three commissioner is Randy Randall. A legal ad spells out these requirements for someone to be considered an eligible candidate: at least a baccalaureate degree and should have a background of “substantial duration” in one of the following categories—energy, telecommunications, consumer protection and advocacy; water and wastewater, finance, economics, and statistics, accounting, engineering, or law.
