Four new assistant principals

The Oconee School Board has selected four new assistant principals for the next school year in 2020-21. Dr. Michael Thorsland, district superintendent, said, “All four of the new assistant principals have ties to our district, which just demonstrates our ‘grown our own’ leadership philosophy and the quality of educators we have teaching students here in Oconee County. Kerri King, a Walhalla High graduate, will move from her current role as reaching coach to join Orchard Park Elementary. Elizabeth McCauley McDonald, a Seneca High School graduate, is returning to Seneca from Clarendon County to Northside Elementary. Amanda Scott will move from her current position as a third-grade teacher as Blue Ridge Elementary to Keowee Elementary School. And Philip Price, an Oconee native and West-Oak High School graduate, will move from his current position as the STEM teacher at Blue Ridge Elementary to the James M. Brown Elementary School.
