Florence Holmes

Liberty — Florence Wilma Crocker Holmes, 90, wife of Gerald Edwin Holmes, passed away September 22^nd, 2020 at her residence.

Florence was born in Brighton, Michigan, to the late Ernest and Dorothy Bennett Crocker. Florence taught school for many years in Martinsville, Indiana and for 17 years at Anderson School District 5. Florence had a great passion for china painting and was musically talented and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Florence is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gerald Edwin Holmes; sons, Wendell Holmes (Judy) of Liberty, Richard Holmes (Lynda) of Columbia, Missouri; a twin brother, Forrest Crocker of Copley, Ohio; sister, Donnelda Chrispell of Arizona; and one grandchild, Amanda Holmes Columbia, Missouri.    

In addition to her parents, Florence is preceded in death by her brother, Bernie Crocker.

A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 26^th, 2020 at First Baptist Memorial Park. The family will receive friends, 2-2:45 pm, Saturday, September 26^th, 2020, at Sandifer Funeral Home.
