Fire marshal thins out crowd for candidates’ forum

Apparently there was a little too much interest in last night’s League of Women Voters’ forum for the Westminster political candidates.  The forum was delayed twice last night after Clint Livingston, county fire marshal, announced it was necessary to whittle down the crowd to 55–the capacity for the meeting room at the Westminster Fire Department.  Those in the audience who did not live inside the corporate limits were asked to leave or to station themselves in the lobby.  To what extent Westminster should be obligated to serve those who live beyond the city limits was one of many issues touched on last night during an event that ran one and a half hours.
