Fire destroys Seneca trash trucks

A Labor Day weekend tragedy for the city of Seneca.  Fire discovered shortly before 5 Sunday morning at the city’s public works facility spread from two trucks to a third.  This morning Ernie Beck, director of public works, considered three trucks destroyed.  That leaves Seneca with only one operating garbage truck and leaves the city reaching out to either rent or borrow replacement trucks in order to be able to run the pickup routes.  The fire appears to be mysterious.  As to whether anyone deliberately started the fire, Beck says the cause is unknown but police investigations are underway.
