Fay “Larry” Dean Jr.
Walhalla– Fay Lawrence “Larry” Dean, Jr, 61, husband of Debra Jean Powell Dean, passed away Wednesday, November 30th, at Prisma Cottingham Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Binghamton, New York, Larry was the son of the late Fay L Dean, Sr and Kathryn Knowlton Dean. Larry worked in the textile industry and had a great passion for woodworking.
Larry is survived by loving wife, Debra Jean Powell Dean; son, Christopher Dean and wife Michelle of Williamston, South Carolina; daughter, Heather Dean Brown and husband Derrick of Walhalla; brother, Frank Dean of Duncan, South Carolina; sisters, Debbie Dean of Duncan, South Carolina, Linda Vaughn of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Lori Sulfridge of Georgetown Kentucky, and Tammy Powell of Pickens, South Carolina; and six grandchildren, Emilie, Dylan, William, Elizabeth, Baylor and Nathan.
In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his brother, Walt Dean.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Monday, December 5th, 2022, at the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Anderson. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Monday, December 5th, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home prior to the service.
