Factory apprentices can “earn and learn”

BASF at Seneca looks to secure a future workforce and seeks applicants for a new apprentice program.  It’s a chance to earn while you learn, and the company has placed an emphasis on attracting more females.  The 12-month program pays apprentices a full-time wage to participate in on-the-job training while earning a certificate in Process Technology from Tri-County Technical College.  At the end of the program, apprentices are promised the skills and credentials to be placed into permanent jobs.  At its location in the Reedy Fork Community, BASF re-cycles specialty chemical catalysts, including old catalytic converters from vehicles.  Those catalysts and precious metal chemicals are used for products, such as pharmaceuticals, fragrances, herbicides, fertilizers, plastics, and automotive emission catalysts.  To register as an apprentice, learn more at www.basf.us/apprentice
