Expanding Seneca’s boundaries south of the railroad track

Seven acres of property near Seneca could be developed into a single-family home development and be annexed into the corporate limits.  The Seneca Planning Commission agreed Monday night to request city council approval of annexing property on Fairfield Drive in the vicinity of S. Depot Street and the Mormon Church Road.  As part of the annexation recommendation, the property owned by Sylvia Porter would be zoned residential-10.  The city has been told of Porter’s intent to sell the property to a home builder who could build as many as 23 houses.
