EVELYN MARTIN
Seneca – Evelyn Patterson Martin, 86, wife of the late James Howard Martin, passed away on April 23rd, 2024, at her residence.
Born January 30th, 1938, in Oconee County, South Carolina, Evelyn was the daughter of the late William Lefus and Edna Lula Perrin Patterson. Evelyn was retired from the NCEES and was a member of Reedy Fork Baptist Church. Evelyn was a faithful servant of the Lord, she was known for her cooking, and sending cards and letters to her loved ones.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Elaine Marchbanks of Pickens; sister, Wannie Waters of Seneca; grandchildren, Hallie Marchbanks of Easley, South Carolina, and Tyler Marchbanks of Aubrey, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Arianna, Adallie, and Aniah.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her son, Kent Martin; a grandson, Brett A. Hicks; brothers, Albert Patterson, Alvin Patterson, and Horace Patterson; sister, Clara King.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 29th, 2024 at Reedy Fork Baptist Church with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 pm –1:00 pm, Monday, April 29th, 2024, at Reedy Fork Baptist Church.
