Bobby Gordon
Westminster– Bobby Gordon Collins, 88, husband of Edna Louise Westmoreland Collins, passed away Thursday, February 24th, 2022 at Prisma Health – Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, Bobby was the son of the late Otis Oliver Collins and Lula Edna Palmer Collins. Bobby was a Knit Machine Fixer with Kendall, a member of Corinth Baptist Church and a United States Navy Veteran. Bobby was an avid golfer and fisherman.
Bobby is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Edna Collins; sons, David Collins (Nancy) and Alan Collins; sister, Nancy Walden; grandchildren, Bradley Collins (Beth), Brad Whitfield (Christy), and Nick Whitfield (Bailey); and great-grandchildren, Caleb Collins, Josiah Collins, Brylee Whitfield, Teagan Whitfield, Sawyer Whitfield, and Luke Whitfield.
In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by brothers, Otis Oliver Collins II, Horace Collins; sister, Lucy Stancil and great-grandchildren, Annabelle Elizabeth Collins and Norah Whitfield.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 1st, 2022, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 10:00 am – 11:00 am, prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
