Envisioning Fair Play’s future

In a two-hour drop-in, style meeting, Fair Play residents took part in the process to arrive at a master plan for their small community that has an interstate running through it.  Inside the bays of the community fire department, professional planners hired by the county displayed aerial photographs of Fair Play as it exists today and invited comments on what it could become.  Those who gazed at the photos were invited to register written comments to questions such as “Fair Play is thriving because….” and “I wish the village of Fair Play had….”  Community leader Tim Mays and Glenn Hart, District 5 county councilman, are excited about how Fair Play could become a better place, yet still offer the kinds of advantages that make country living popular.
