Engineer firm to compile plan to re-stripe Seneca street

An engineering firm for Seneca will develop a plan to re-stripe a major city thoroughfare as part of a larger project to transform EN 1st Street into a friendlier street for pedestrians and commerce.  Longer-range Seneca officials see the possibility that the four-lane street, with no medians, can be reduced to a two-lane highway leading into the downtown.  For now, Seamon Whiteside Engineers, according to Scott Moulder, city administrator, will develop a re-striping plan to be submitted to the state DOT.
