ELI YODER

Greenville – Eli A. Yoder, 82, husband of Mary Jane Miller Yoder, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022, at St. Francis Downtown.

 

Born in Springs, Pennsylvania, Eli was the son of the late Allen Yoder and Lizzie Tice Yoder.  Eli was a chicken farmer and feed mill worker in Jamestown, Pennsylvania, and later in Farmville, Virginia.

 

Eli is survived by his wife of 62 years, son, Jason Yoder of Greenwood; daughters, Gloria Moser (Tommy) of Greenville, Fern Chupp (Milton) of Seneca, Sharon Overholt (Mike) of Greenwood; brothers, Vernon Yoder of Warren, Ohio, Lloyd Yoder (Hazel) of Sommerset, PA, Paul Yoder (Wanda) of Bittinger, MD, Mark Yoder (Ruth) of Cannon City, Co; 14 grandchildren, Jeremy, Douglas, Bethany, Toby, Junior, Shana, Jake, Janay, Crystal, Amber, Diamond, Jade, Jarod, Preston; and 20 great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to his parents, Eli is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Anna Katherine Yoder, Owen Yoder, Alta Killius, Champ (Edwin) Yoder, Elvin Yoder, Ada Beachy, and Evelyn Yoder.

 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, January 2, 2023, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at First Baptist Memorial Park.   The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Sandifer Funeral Home
