Election Day reminders

Howie Knapp says, “Don’t miss this opportunity for your voice to be heard.”  Knapp is the executive director of the South Carolina Election Commission and his office reminds voters that primary election voting takes place tomorrow from 7 am to 7 pm at polling places statewide.  Anyone in line before 7 pm will be allowed to vote.  Voters are reminded that they will be asked to present a current and valid Photo ID.  Acceptable IDs include a South Carolina Driver’s License, a South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles ID Card, a South Carolina Voter Registration Card with a Photo, a Federal Military ID, and U.S. passport.  If you still hold onto an absentee ballot, it must be received by your county voter registration office no later than 7 o’clock tomorrow night.  A copy of a sample ballot may be previewed on scVOTES.gov.
