Edna Williams Lee

Westminster – Edna Williams Lee, 85, wife of the late Jack Strickland Lee of 201 N. Broad Street, passed away on Monday, July 12th, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving and devoted family.

 

Edna was born in Oconee County, and was the daughter of the late Rufus Clifton and Bessie Mae Honea Williams.  Edna retired from Jantzen as a fabric cutter and was a

lifelong member of Westminster Baptist Church.  Edna’s greatest joy and love was spending time with her granddaughters and her great-granddaughter.

 

Edna is survived by her son, James “Jimmy” E. Kay, Jr.; daughter, Jackie Foster; brother, Ernest Williams; sister, Martha Cobb; grandchildren, Selma Wingert (Ian Wingert), Brandi Logan, Erica Lee Foster (Russell Magee), Megan Lee Foster, Addie Grace Lee Foster; and one great-grandchild, Leighton Claire Magee.

 

In addition to her first husband, James E. Kay, Sr., her second husband, Jack Strickland Lee and parents, Edna is preceded in death by brothers, J.L. Williams, Ralph Williams and Charles Harold Williams.

 

A funeral service will be held, 3:00 pm, Thursday, July 15th, 2021, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with private burial to follow. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm – 2:30pm, prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
