Edna Jones
Westminster– Edna Mae Miles Jones, 100, wife of the late James Roscoe Jones, passed away on Friday, July 29th, 2022 at her residence.
Born in Georgia, Edna was the daughter of the late Lee Miles and Gertie Steele Miles. Edna was a homemaker, a member of Old Liberty Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class. Edna enjoyed embroidery, quilting, flowers, gardening and what she loved and enjoyed most was taking care of her family.
Edna is survived by her sons, Hoyt Jones (Linda), L.J. Jones (Brenda), and Terry Jones (Glenda); daughter, Shirley Haslam (Tom); sister, Mildred Standridge; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Edna is preceded in death by her brothers, Grover Miles, W.C. “Dub” Miles, Tody Miles; and sisters, Geneva Williams, Nora Lee Moore and Gertrude Miles.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm, Monday, August 1, 2022 at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Old Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm, prior to the service, at Sandifer Funeral Home.
