Edna Brown

Seneca – Edna Hembree Brown, 87, wife of the late Paul Robert Brown, passed away on Thursday, February 10^th, 2022, at Prisma Oconee Memorial Hospital.

 

Edna was born in Seneca, South Carolina, and was the daughter of the late Fred and Virginia Hollingsworth Hembree.  Edna was a homemaker and a member of Townville Church of God. Edna had a great passion for singing at church and was a prayer warrior.

 

Edna is survived by sons, James Brown of Atlanta, GA, Robert Brown of Seneca; daughters, Tina Chavez (Juan) of Seneca, Teresa Craig (Scott) of Townville, Ann Strickland (Ray) of Seneca, Melissa Smith of Walhalla; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to her parents, Edna is preceded in death by a sister, Helen Medlin.

 

A funeral service will be held, at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, February 15^th, 2022, at the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 11:45 am, prior to the service at Sandifer Funeral Home.
